Fanpic Sponsorship Activation Case Study: Great North Run – PUMA

In September 2014 The Great Run Company and their sponsor Puma challenged us to take a picture of all 55,000 runners at the start lane during the historic Great North Run. We were to create an unforgettable fan engagement piece using three vantage points and high cranes to cover the whole crowd of participants and fans gathered on 1.5 miles of stretched road.
The goal was to provide runners with the ability to share their achievement with their networks, and continue to engage with the race and its’ sponsors after completion.
We introduced Time Tag where fans were able to share their photo, along with their finish time, making it more relevant to them and their friends and allowing the Puma brand to associate with those results and emotions of the race.
