When organizing a marketing event, companies usually don’t get much attention to the staff who is going to run the event as they think it is not as important as the event itself. But they got it all wrong because a well-trained staff can make a big difference. Moreover, staff members can even save an event which is badly organized. But why staff training is so important for a marketing event?
- First impression counts
Once you launched your event and your staff got in contact with your clients, you cannot be totally in control of the situation. As they represent you, they should be at your image and stick to a guideline you provided them. So as far as the attitude is going or even how they dress, every detail counts as your clients will judge you through them.

What management wants them to do? Why management wants them to do it? How management wants it done?

There are multiple kind of staff for multiple occasions. So it is important to define exactly the type of staff you really need. Don’t fear to be really specific towards you staff provider as he should always provide you what you want (french speaker, blonde, etc.).

It is important to get to know your staff members, as they are all different from one another. As you will get to know them, you will know their strengths and weaknesses so you can easily put them on the work they are efficient and good at.
