Aer Lingus Brought #HomeAdvantage and Fan Engagement to Wherever We Play8 min read

May it be psychological or physiological – there is an undeniable connection between a sports team’s on-field performance and the possession of home advantage. Aer Lingus, being the official airline of the Irish Rugby Team, launched a campaign to bring home advantage to wherever our boys in green were playing during the RBS 6 Nations Championship.

Sponsor activation on and off the field

Aer Lingus is not only highly dedicated to the Irish Team, but also to the legion of its loyal fans. In course of the activation of #HomeAdvantage, Aer Lingus used a photo marketing activation with Snappie App to give people at Dublin airport and the Aviva Stadium the opportunity to show their support for the team and also share their fan engagement on Social Media.

As part of the sponsorship agreement Aer Lingus also has painted 2 aircraft with Irish rugby livery. These planes are called #GreenSpirit and perfectly transport not only players and fans to the matches, but also deliver #HomeAdvantage to wherever the Irish Rugby Team plays.
